Yawn. I have zero nags from Windows 11.

It's not that complicated. Yeah you have to spend an hour or two after install looking up some guides, tweak some registry keys & turn off a bunch of default Settings.

Then you have practically zero nags.

Also no need to update 600+ MB every friggin day like on Ubuntu...

The Windows dunking is getting old.

And you see no problem with that?

Look - we have entered into a full gambling society. I need to know that every update I do there is a chance candy crush gets installed.

This is BULL. Windows 11 has never installed anything for me I didn't want.

Only takes a little bit of tweaking to remove all the fluff from Start menu including internet searches and you're done.

Many of these options are even surfaced by Microsoft directly in the Settings.

For example, these steps are pretty easy to follow, half of these are surfaced directly in Settings:

I spend probably twice as much after Ubuntu install just trying to get the OS to behave in something approaching user-friendly. Plus install and configure extra Gnome addons to get a decent desktop experience.

Yes. Because you say that as if Linux doesn't require the same or longer the second you dare use it as an average user and want to change the defaults. Or just use it in general.
