Anyone wanting to be involved in the future of scientific research should probably start learning Mandarin. We're going the way of the Soviets, where political officers will quash any science that doesn't fit their ideology.

We also inverted the food pyramid recently since the whole thing reeked of big sugar/grain lobby, it can take a while for research to percolate above propoganda, and I'm not above suspecting the new pyramid of having its bias'
There's so much fad diet marketing and propaganda out there, but the Mediterranean diet is one of the few that's actually backed by a decent amount of real scientific research as being healthy for most people.
