How much polluted is the water after cooling? Can they not be reused?

As long as they don’t pollute, I don’t see much a problem with this amount of water usage. And the water doesn’t need to be disinfected either, only cleaned and filtered. So any natural renewable source would do.

It's evaporated so it's not polluted but of course it does strain the local area water supply that has to collect, treat and distribute the water first. Likely resulting in higher water prices for the area.
