    I worked as an EMT for a few years. I didn't like the structure of the training. The education portions are insufficient, to say the least. I believe most EMTs/paramedics don't have enough education under their belts to perform the tasks they do. Most of these people learn from working on the job. You get a call, get the patient to the facility, then learn from it. I also didn't appreciate the "fake it till you make it" mantra that many people in EMS liked to repeat.
