Getting the most out of Opus 5.5 in Claude and Claude Code

    It's really good... when they let you use it. I've been experimenting with using Opus 5.5 to reverse engineer an early 2000s disc cloning tool, but unfortunately the built in “classifier” went overboard and poisoned the session, making it refuse to do anything further. Write a “hand off” document? No. Focus on something else? No. Eventually every single response was terminated by the classifier before it even began.

      interestingly, I told it to delegate all RE tasks to codex and it happily obliged.

        I’ve found Codex to be utterly useless recently. I’m not sure if I’ve been shadow-poor-service’d or what — Astra, even when set to “Extra High”, gives me results reminiscent of the GPT mini models a year or so ago.
