    Meta stupidly chose to open Muse only in the US. If anyone wants to take the world, just copy it, you have a month. (Before someone do it. Not Meta. They stick to dumb decisions)

      I'm not sure to what extent they chose that, versus their privacy woes in the EU and elsewhere chose it for them. Turns out meta's reputation among US consumers is sparkling compared to their overseas reputation...

        I'd argue that this is more of a testament of how US regulatory regime facilitates consumer choice compared to paternalism of other major markets. I personally can't wait to have a free AI assistant like Muse available in my country.

      It makes sense that it is US only if you consider it like a legal experiment to see whether the enormous liability of autonomously entering into contracts or representing a user plus the cost of offering such a service for free is lower than the money you can make from not just selling clicks, but selling the conversion itself.

      At that point, you can see that limiting your liability to a single jurisdiction is probably a good idea.
