    I remember a while ago (~2013?) Schwab used to silently! truncate all passwords to 8 characters. Incredible stuff.

      I commented elsewhere in this thread about how a major Canadian bank used to require exactly 6 character passwords. Makes me think some of these finance industry dinoaurs had (have?) some of the same ancient back-end systems where they&#x27;re storing it.
