I see people on LinkedIn with little programming skills getting high-paid prompt engineering jobs as developers. There's messages every day from these accounts talking about how prompting is the way of the future.
I hope it's like those highly paid html coding jobs (where this is your only skill) in the 90s and these people get booted within a few years.
My problem with AI is not the technology. It's people attempting to shortcut knowledge and skill and act like it Trumps years of experience in the industry.
When everyone can prompt, the only high paying jobs left will be the people with actual experience.
