I think the reason there isn’t much panic over this among web designers is that we are in the long tail of web development.
Most websites are basically pointless, more like pretty “brochures”.
In the near future, useful structured information will be dumped to websites that are funded through micropayments using x402 protocol. Agents will be the ones making these purchase decisions, replacing revenue historically brought by ads. Will be interesting to see the death of programmatic advertising on the web.
