I was imagining the other day what other "apps" that frontier labs can get into. If we had "Claude Mail" or "ChatGPT for Workspaces" it would be very interesting. Email service created by Claude, then docs (they have it already?) then all the business apps layer (heck integrate your vibe coded apps onto these! build your own slack, CRM)
If models are commoditized and apps is where the grab is - I actually wouldn't mind a new email provider - GMail has not practically changed in the last 10 years I feel.
I'm not sure a chat interface is a good UX for a lot of use cases. I want my emails as a list of emails, not an explanation of what that list contains
I saw they're rolling out the done-to-death personal finance Mint-competitor and it's the exact same issue. At first it was interesting.. then when it comes to actually using it it's just not a fluid UX
