I don't know about "based", seems like the kind of file I'd immediately delete then run my coding agent. I don't want project maintainers "nannying" me, power to the user not the developer imho.
You’re likely the exact reason why these things exist. Maintainers have to put up with none stop requests and slop and it’s a tireless job with not a lot of benefit.
At a minimum you can respect their guardrails of a project they maintain.
I wouldn't make a PR to this project. If it was valuable, I'd just tweak it for myself if I needed to. I also MIT all of my OSS because I believe in empowering users as much as I can.
