   I never understand HN. I posted this 2 nights ago with little traction on the site. Now it’s posted by someone else and it takes off. Why bother.

      Oh, don't be discouraged! Weekly or so I post stuff that disappears instantly and then days or weeks later posted by someone else ascends to the top of the front page. Just shrug and keep on truckin'!

         Honestly I don’t care at all about internet points on here or Reddit EXCEPT that if you get too low or lose a lot quickly you aren’t visible in comments anymore, you keep being told you are “posting too fast” etc.

         Appreciate your response though.
