In 2012 I wrote the SMB347 charger driver that is still in mainline Linux (commit ed1a230f, v3.4). This year I ported it to Rust and sent it upstream as an RFC, adding a Rust power_supply class abstraction mainline doesn't have yet. The maintainer replied "having Rust bindings for new drivers sounds good to me" -- direction approved, not merged; v2 in progress.

Before that: Intel (AOSP, tablet bring-up, secure-boot firmware), Cisco (C++ firmware and ASIC HAL generators, Catalyst 4500), ClearEdge Power (embedded Linux for a 5 kW fuel cell), then ten years as a startup CTO. 30+ years total.

Looking for kernel, driver, or embedded work -- full-time or contract.
