It's working as intended? Meta invests in innovative infrastructure, and the country benefits.

Look at Europe for the opposite, and the disastrous consequences there.

Meta is claiming tax credits for production infrastructure, not R&D.

Has Europe turned into a Galt-deprived cesspool of "takers" in the last few weeks? It seemed like a decent place last time I visited.

Most countries in Europe are poorer than the poorest American state.

Would you rather live in Arkansas or Mississippi instead of Slovenia or Slovakia? (I can't be bothered to look up the median European country by median GDP, but you are welcome to do that.)

I'm pretty sure the average Amazon wage slave in the US has a comparable or even higher income than the average Slovenian engineer, but one has a life of struggle when the other lives comfortably.

Yet the European blue collars have a life expectancy that is comparable to the top income Americans.

      “Innovative infrastructure”

bro it’s a data center. This is commodity hardware. Nothing innovative is happening here. Meta is abusing the tax code and hoping their lobbying efforts shield them

Yes, that would be why the people in Richland Parish are excited about...selling hot plates to the construction workers.
