    I thought that the bulk of memory is already "technically bought" by the AI hyperscalers in the form of the big (not so) "hidden" debt? As in: the supply should already be known.

    Why the need for speculation?

      Micron reportedly sold $100bn worth of DRAM last financial year, and reportedly has $40bn long term commitments. $40bn is more than their entire fiscal 2025 revenue, so it's a lot, but it's clear it'll be a minority of their available supply.
