    That you were still free to write code, put it out there and have people use it freely?

    A decade ago, I made a joke comment to a friend that you were soon going to need a carry permit to operate a compiler.

    Joke's not so funny in 2026.

        Right to intelligence, is he same. Denied with clear discrimination on same grounds (It may be used for malicious purposes :) which is also true, so access was/is/will be restricted to limited resources. Hard to swim against the stream unless you fly above it.

        Yes, he was correct indeed.

        But the fact that the message was broadcasted by a dude rocking the personality of a psychotic 4 year old and the general looks of ... let's not go there ... basically prevented everyone with a normal outlook on life to pay attention.

        There's this famous chapter of the Little Prince that depicts this exactly, "asteroid B-612" :
