    Cute. Of course, beyond basic deal breakers, neither do people know their preferences (but they think they do), nor do the majority of preference categories actually matter.

    This is a common problem with all dating apps. Specifically, interests, hobbies, daily routines, objectives, etc. have nothing to do with compatibility.

    “We like the same things!” is the compatibility signal of a naive 22-yr old…

      Of course they do. What you're probably getting it is they have nothing to do with attraction. That's a completely different thing. But you need all three of the following for a long term relationship:

      1. You are attracted to them,

      2. They are attracted to you,

      3. You are broadly compatible with each other.

      From a male perspective, there are tons of people who satisfy 1 only. Far fewer satisfy 1 and 2, and fewer still satisfy all 3.
