    I&#x27;m Polish, but this is such a pessimistic, overdramatic take. The visualisations are impressive, but you&#x27;re living in Poland&#x27;s golden age.     The war in Ukraine is a tragedy, but it has proved that Russia is weak. The price shock will speed up the transition to renewables, and Iran is losing its grip on Hormuz. So many of the other issues are solvable.

    It&#x27;s easy to be a pessimist, but there&#x27;s a bright future ahead of us.

        You joke, but there are practical and historic reasons for the pessimism.

        No one in the West has had the Eastern European experience of queuing for bread for hours and discovering there isn&#x27;t any.

        In the West we have exceptionally strong normalcy bias and can&#x27;t imagine a world with severe scarcity.

        In countries like Poland that&#x27;s still lived memory.

          Heck, 80 years ago it wasn&#x27;t obvious there would still be a Poland. Absolutely understandable that pessimism is a normal state of mind.
