I do not have LinkedIn and to contact a person off the site to apply for a job and they told me that “for this role LinkedIn is mandatory” it has nothing to do with marketing it is a tech job. Why does it matter where their source came from?
Indian recruiter multiple layers of obfuscation garbage. I am sure they are simply resume and connect harvesting. I cannot see how a tech job recruiter wouldn’t try to get their opening filled in any way possible.
Some people use public social media accounts as face value for an individual or for filtering out spam.. Those people are not the most technically savvy so you probably dodged a bullet there if it was for a tech position.
