    Online dating apps do the same exact thing. When you try to disengage they spam you with notifications and emails saying a bunch of people want to talk to you.

    You actually login or god forbid pay for a subscription, all of your matches are disabled bot accounts. I actually have a theory that daiting apps are responsible for a significant portion if not most of those bots.

    I’m actually more willing to work on a gambling or prediction product vs a dating app.

    At least everyone knows gambling is a scam.

          Because offline it's possible to punch a scammer in the face. There are still many offline scams, but not as many.

          Offline it takes a lot more effort.

          It’s much harder for a 49 year old man to pretend to be 23 year old woman to try to get you to buy feet pics in real life vs online.

      Dating apps are a Cursed Problem: If they worked well, they’d be out of business. Therefore they must not work well.
