Is this a rip of turtletoy[1] content?

      who knows with vibe-coded stuff?

Why would it be a ripoff? Generative art sites are like this.

Turtle toy is really neat, thanks for the tip.

What’s with calling AI “clanker”? I’m seeing it more and more, and, honestly, the more I see it the stupider it sounds.
          1. iFreilicht · · focus · HN ↗
It&#x27;s basically a derogatory term for AI. I&#x27;ve seen it used the same way a slur would be used to berate a person.
            1. kdkdiwkdiwzjj · · focus · HN ↗
Got that from context; I’m just baffled, really. Seeing people call AI “clankers” is like watching a third grader call another “poopy head”. It’s just depressingly infantile.

It&#x27;s a reference from Star Wars if you really don&#x27;t know. People say things they hear, I don&#x27;t know what else to tell you.

Looks useful. I was experimenting with making an SVG creator tool that can churn out shapes that go beyond the shape library of microsoft powerpoint -- so my slides can stand out. Things like a hexagon with rounded corners, squircle, swooshes and blobs etc.

Patterns like these are useful as well.

One problem which I&#x27;ve had working in this space is the difficulty of naming specific shapes --- worked up a list in my current project:

      <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;WillAdams&#x2F;gcodepreview&#x2F;blob&#x2F;main&#x2F;gcodepreview.pdf" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;WillAdams&#x2F;gcodepreview&#x2F;blob&#x2F;main&#x2F;gcodepre...

(should be section 3.8.1.1 on pg. 97, not sure, since I need to push up an update)

and I&#x27;d be glad of any comment or correction or point of improvement.

Beautiful. Reminds me of the amazing visual art of Adam Fuhrer[1].

Etienne Jacob has similar vibes: <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;bleuje.com&#x2F;animationsite&#x2F;2024_1&#x2F;" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;bleuje.com&#x2F;animationsite&#x2F;2024_1&#x2F; And quite satisfying.

I&#x27;ve been building something similar[1], but focused more on generating desktop&#x2F;mobile wallpapers based on a desktop theme.

Most of the designs is build via python-scripts that generate the final SVG&#x27;s which then can be recolored in browser. Claude + a harness is surprisingly adept at generating these scripts, i guess pelicanmaxxing might be the reason?

Forgive my non-creative brain but who is this for? and how&#x2F;where can this be used?
    1. LEDThereBeLight · · focus · HN ↗
It’s research. It’s not for anyone, until someone who needs it sees it and starts using it.

This site is great, very cool.

    Amazing! this is beautiful.
  15. ano-ther · · focus · HN ↗
Very nice. Some of these would make great video backgrounds.

Does anyone know about a good toolchain to animate SVGs and make a video of it, preferably preserving transparency and import into Premiere?
