So seriously, what is the administrations intention here? They’ve used all the missiles and drained all the gas. Are they trying to get the U.S. invaded?

Project 2025 fairly implicitly stated that the idea was to scuttle trust in the US government so badly that there would be a case for private equity to swoop in and save the day. That's what you're seeing.

I dunno, this seems like confirmation bias.

It is not.

Confirmation bias of what? Project 2025 and the Heritage Foundation's effort as a think-tank is pretty much a baby-stepped blueprint.

That Trump hasn't been following.

Your theory is that project 2025, rather than just being a straightforward result of right-wing politics (cut welfare, reduce trans rights, etc) is secretly intended to make people more supportive of private equity taking over everything. You say this is obvious, but I don't see the picture you do, which makes me think confirmation bias might be at play. Note that I'm not defending right-wing politics, I'm just pointing out that the "secret twist meaning" isn't necessarily true.

Project 2025 can be anything you want it to be.

You can literally just go read it. They’re very explicit about both their goals and how they intended to achieve them.
3. Krasnol · · focus · HN ↗
So how exactly are they supposed to swoop in? With what?
1. halJordan · · focus · HN ↗
The corollary isn't that they fix things. It's that they'll profit. Fixing the services isn't really the goal, so your question becomes a non sequitor

Ooh conspiracy theorizing, love it!

Except that they seem to have explicitly stated this as a goal in Project 2025.

Could you quote the exact text you're interpreting here?

(Not the whole Project 2025 text; the specific sentence(s) that imply that.)

I'm just providing a nudge to support extraordinary claims with clear facts. Whether you want to do that is of course up to you.

There was trust left in the US government to be scuttled? Could have fooled me.

Heritage Foundation has long advocated for emptying the reserves. They wrote Project 2025 but I'm not sure it was an explicit goal in the actual blueprint we got to see
