    I will say this again, and again, and again: thanks to piracy, I got to watch many amazing movies, especially those that came out before the 2000s. Eventually I bought lots of DVDs and Blu-Rays, CDs( heck I even rediscovered my music in taste).

    I'm not sure which is more morally wrong: preserving works of art for future generations, or destroying them for profit.

          * destroying them for profit

          The first is an obvious good to me, and the second is an obvious bad. I'm assuming you meant to say 'not preserving'.
