planned 6 orbits, 10hr's in space the load of satelites will deploy 10x the banwidth of a single falcon launch making the economics of this venture rather startling for any 'competition'. if they nail the deploy, relights, and soft landings, it will time for everybody to rethink everything * * keep in mind they are already tinkering with on orbit fuel tranfer technology, which will lead to routine bunkering * other things, like doing visual condition inspections of every ship in orbit means there experience base grows at a rate that other companys litteraly cant imagine.

How can you compare the economics of it if you just have the bandwidth and not the cost?

simple, the first iteration of the new starlinks put 10x a falcon load on orbit, they are stating that they expect to double the banwidth, which wouldbe equivilant to 20 falcon launches, looks like margin to me, hey!, just the ground handling, inventory, staff availible, etc is deal changing, cost per bit goes into freefall, market expands verticaly. these things weigh in at more than 2 tons each, and they just lifted 12, zero problem, the lift capacity is surreal, they are iterating, they have litteral stacks of everything built now, and are aimed at exactly one thing, launches so boring and routine that they get ZERO press, just glummerand glummer looks from EVERYBODY else doing launch. dont get me wrong, I dont like elon, but even when playing pool with nasty evil freeks, a good shot, is a good shot, and there is no way to beat someone good, unless you state that they ARE a good shot, and you step up YOUR own game
