Except that their employees are quitting 7-figure jobs because they believe what they're building is threatening to humanity.
Maybe take these people at face value.

  On the other hand, they've received a 7-figure salary. Some people would do a year of that and then fuck off to the beach with their family and not work another day in their life, while throwing prognostications out the window as they leave.
  The problem is people who see the lavish pay and then reach a goal and then quit and retire. The interview loop didn't cover that. And why should it?
