    When they say cycle accurate what do they mean? I thought even emulating a super nes in software at cycle accurate levels took a lot of compute?

      Believe it or not, 15 years later computers got faster, fast enough to cycle accurate emulate a x86 box - if you are using a M6 cpu, which has the fast single core performance ever.

        Sarcasm aside, this is why I&#x27;m asking: Snes cpu about 3mhz Vs 600mhz pentium 2.

        As far as I&#x27;m aware emulation tends to be CPU intensive and can&#x27;t really take advantage multi core . Is a M6 cpu core roughly 200x the performance of a 15 year intel core ? Something is wrong with my assumptions.
