    Are fears of AI anti-intellectualism 2.0 ?

Why do people automatically associate intellectual capability with evil?

Does American anti-intellectualism explain the difference in perception of AI by Americans and Chinese?

      > Why do people automatically associate intellectual capability with evil?.

No intellectual capability, but non-human, inherently amoral intellectual capability that has already been proven act in hard-to-predict, illegal, and unethical ways. I think that's a very rational thing to be afraid of.

Why the assumption that non-human is worse than human? After all of the murder/genocide and such. Humans have a terrible track record when it comes to morality. If you put cows in charge of morality we would probably be better off.

On the decision making level humans act morally only after all other options were exhausted.
