      apparently it needs spelled out.

      you won’t lose your expertise if you continue to develop it, and blaming ai is like blaming macros or installers or…

      the game hasn’t changed, really, but many are fretting that it has fallen apart.

        Then you have to write code. Understanding without doing is not successful IMO.

          Writing code is like many things. One means of producing the output.

                To get out of the detour, in my first job as a team lead I took my eye off the code for a long while - doing reviews but not developing. That killed off my ability to understand what was going on.

                Eventually I decided to take on a fairly big ticket and that's when I realised that we had a lot of problems and my reviews hadn't caught them.
