JetBrains Air: A System of Products for Agentic Software Development

I have Ghostty with Claude open with one tab per project. Then I have IntelliJ open also with one tab per project.
I find this setup works great for actually participating in the development. To understand what is happening and keep the mental model of what the project is about. Review in progress work in IntelliJ, use the Git, Database and REST(.http files) in the IDE as the agents generate the code.
I don't see a problem with this setup is it really that uncommon? Have people stopped using TOOLS completely? That said I don't have much interest in these JetBrains AI products, at least not currently.

  Similar workflow myself - claude cli + intellij project per worktree. Works well, intellij IDE tools are still unmatched compared to using Zed / VSCode / etc.
  The "Air Alpha" plugin isn't bad to move the claude cli into the IDE window itself - but not essential.

  Fun fact: IntelliJ itself switches to Ghostty VT (with Swing rendering)

  As the relevant issue states, it's exactly because it should perform better for TUI agents.
