    When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. Few people have the ability/temperament to reason about things that have never happened before. Those that do have a weird psychological profile. Usually you can ignore them. Every once in a while, you can't.

      The basic problem is that out-of-sample predictions don't work very well.

        Depends on the person. Some people will say wild stuff like Neptune exists or black holes exist and they will be right.
