Companies game them too. One of my primary hosts will have a outage where all my envs are down, users are timing out, etc. I'll check the status page: "Partial outage affecting some customers in select regions" (in orange, not red). Good news though because that doesn't count against their uptime percentage so we're still at 99.99%! I'll pass that on to my customers who can't do their jobs.
