For the uninitiated this is using Neural Amp Modelling (NAM) captures of guitar amps (yes guitar amps all sounds different and people like to use different ones for different things).
NAM (an open source project) is about 8x more expensive to run that a standard C++ amp simulator (which emulate tone characteristics of a guitar amp using standard DSP algorithms).
However, I'm not seeing a link to the code here. Without that it's just an article and could be entirely fictional.
