Pantograph | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE | Full-time | Software Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Research Scientist
Pantograph is a research lab developing generally intelligent robots with simple, scalable methods. We design and manufacture our robots in-house — we published full details on our robot today and opened the waitlist. It's an open, hackable robot: a full NixOS machine that runs any model, starting at about 4K. We'll be building thousands of them as we aim to collect 10M hours of on-embodiment robot data for our models.
We're a public benefit corporation. We care about transparency and openness, and we think a lot about what it would look like for robotics to go well. Some of our thinking on mission and impact is on our website: <a href="https://pantograph.com/" rel="nofollow">https://pantograph.com/
We're hiring across the hardware and ML research teams. We're looking for a great generalist SWE to work with our hardware team on our robot feature stack and improve our customer experience (Rust and Python, no robotics background required), a mechanical design engineer to take our first-generation robots from prototype through large-scale production, and research scientists with experience in large-scale pre-training, self-supervised RL, or video modeling.
Open roles: <a href="https://pantograph.com/careers" rel="nofollow">https://pantograph.com/careers
If you don't see the perfect role but you're excited about what we're doing, email hiring@pantograph.com with your background and what you'd want to do here.
